Brownfield...which I am guessing it is...is a Staffordshire, England company that I have had quite a bit of transferware from, especially Aesthetic Movement designs. They are actually W. Brownfield & Sons from Staffordshire who closed in 1891 and used the Brownfield impressed mark. You have a rare set, a trembleuse which was a shape also used for children...meaning "trembling" with the raised cup that the teacup fits in so it can't be easily knocked over. The design is like the Kate Greenaway designs, may even be by her, that date to the 1880s. A rare treasure! Thanks so much for sharing it and linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!<br />RuthAntiques And Teacupshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00353180034537009493noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7266524266188631018.post-12410346309322165922012-09-25T19:34:53.469-03:002012-09-25T19:34:53.469-03:00Bellisimo !

This set here is totally sweet. I looked quickly at Brownfield china online, but it was hard to know where to start. Do you have any idea what country this china originates from?
