La propuesta de este mes de Hoy compartimos tiene que ver con el té. Y té implica tazas...y sí! no pude dejar pasar esta ocasión de poner una mesa infantil

This month topic of "Hoy compartimos" is about Tea. Tea means teacups ... and yes! I imediately think in a table setting with my beloved children's teacups and plates

como individuales unas blondas y unas fotocopias de un antiguo libro para que los pequeños invitados se entretengan con sus imágenes

some paper doilies and photocopies of an old children's book as placemats so that the little guests can enjoy the beautiful images

pequeños sandwiches con formas para motivarlos a comer 

small sandwiches with different shapes to motivate them to eat 

y también algunas tentaciones dulces

and some tempting treats

sin olvidarme de algunos caramelos

without forgetting some candy

Organizando Collares..... Organizing Necklaces

Supongo que no soy la única a la que se le complica tener bajo control los collares

I guess I'm not the only one that is complicated to have under control the necklaces

Así que decidí colgarlos con cierto orden en un par de percheros

So I decided to hang them in order in a couple of little racks

como los ví un poco aburridos los pinté de blanco y...sí, soy muy previsible, un poco de decoupage y algunas palabras recortadas de revistas

I thought they looked a bit boring so I painted white and ... yes, I'm very predictable, a little decoupage and some words cut from magazines

Ocupan bastante lugar y, aunque me gusta ver todos los collares juntos creo que en el dormitorio tal vez quedaría un poco recargado pero los colgué en el lavadero (planta baja), ya que además me resulta más práctico porque elijo cuál me pongo justo antes de salir

They occupy a lot of space and, although I like to see all the necklaces together I think in the bedroom would be a bit overdone, but I hung them in the laundry (ground floor), and I find it more practical to choose what I will wear just before leaving

y también generalmente me los saco abajo ni bien entro a casa

and generally I remove them just when I arrive home

No hay muy buena luz donde ya están colgados pero no quería dejar de mostrarlos tal como van

No good light where they are already hanging but I will share them in their real place

Creo que es una idea que bien puede sumarse al Finde Frugal de Marcela, de Colorín Colorado, así que, como todos los viernes, voy allá para inspirarme con más ideas

Abanicos con Publicidad.... Advertising Fans

Hace muchos años algunos negocios regalaban abanicos de cartón

Many years ago some stores gave away cardboard fans

como una forma de publicidad

as a form of advertising

Algunos con imágenes muy tiernas

Some of them with so cute images

otros un poco más sugerentes

others a little more suggestive

sexies...

claro, se trataba de un negocio de lencería

well, it was a lingerie store

algunos tenían una varilla de madera

some of them had a wooden stick

otros se abren en tres partes

others open in three pieces

o hasta en cinco

or even in five

Estos son de negocios del barrio de mi infancia, donde tantas veces fui a comprar. Pero no los tengo desde esa época!! Los encontré de casualidad hace muy poco

These are from my childhood neighborhood, where I did the shopping so often. But I do not have them since that time!! I found them by chance recently

Nos damos cuenta que antiguos son por los números de teléfonos

We realize how old they are because of the phone number

no sólo no tenían el 4 al empezar el número, tenían sólo 6 dígitos...y algunos todavía tenían la sigla de la Unión Telefónica (U.T.)

not only had the number 4 to start, just 6 digits ... and some still had the initials of Unión Telefónica (UT)
