Hoy compartimos....Algo que creí perdido....Something I thought I had lost

You know that "Hoy compartimos" ("Today we share") gets together once a month to post on a specific topic, from a personal perspective of its own, and April's topic is "Something I thought I had lost"

(Treasure of Tales)

When I was a girl -yes, long time ago!- I enjoyed my storybooks a lot

Several years later I became close to children's books again, but this time those of my children

las lecturas de las buenas noches...

reading goodnight books...

("Good night, Lucas" and "Mi goodnight book")

And when that stage ended, yes, when I thought I had lost that link with kid's books, my enthusiasm for vintage children's dishes began

with those wonderful illustrations that often come from nursery rhymes and traditional fairy tales

y volvieron a atraparme

and they caught me again

but this time I  was especially hooked on images

and although sometimes I don't understand the language perfectly pictures can always be understood, don't you think so?

Is there anything cuter than a child enjoying a book?

Sí, dos niños compartiendo ese placer

Yes, two children sharing the pleasure

Espero que les haya gustado.
Hasta la próxima!

I hope you liked it.
See you soon!

  24. Your love of books is seen in all the different choices in the photos. I was an elementary school teacher and loved reading to the children in my class. The illustrations certainly tell the story and many of the children's book illustrators have become very famous over the years. Enjoyed your books with the additiion of the china figures.

  38. I think the love of reading instilled in children is wonderful - all parents and grandparents should read to their children - to also ensure the love of learning - there are so many children's books that have deep life lessons - the best things children can learn can be done while in Kindegarten - so delighted to read your marvelous post on children's books and appreciating them - I appreciate you sharing with Home and Garden Thursday,
    Kathy
