Although sometimes I share stories that are not well known here, we all know this one very well
todos recordamos la triste historia de esa pequeña niña cuya madre había muerto y a la que luego le toca sufrir a una malvada madrastra y a sus dos también malísimas hijas. Pasaba sus horas entre las cenizas junto al fuego y por eso recibió el sobrenombre de Cenicienta
we all remember the sad story of the little girl whose mother had died and then had to suffer a wicked stepmother and her two vain and selfish daughters. She would often arise covered in cinders, giving rise to the mocking nickname "Cinderella"
Tenía que dedicar todo el día a las tareas del hogar
She had to spend all day doing the housework
con las burlas permanente de sus hermanastras
while the stepsisters teased her
y con la sola compañía de sus amigos los pájaros
and with the company of the birds
Y llegó el día de la gran fiesta en el palacio, y Cenicienta por supuesto no podía pensar en ir sino que tenía que ayudar a su madrastra y a sus hijas con sus trajes y sus joyas
The Prince invited all the young ladies to a ball, planning to choose a wife but Cinderella of course could not think of going, and she had to help her stepmother and her daughters with their dresses and jewelry
Pero allí por suerte hizo su aparición su Hada Madrina
Fortunately, Fairy Godmother magically appeared
que convirtió a la calabaza en un lujoso carruaje y los ratones en caballos
and she turned a pumpkin into a golden carriage and mice into horses
con el que Cenicienta pudo ir finalmente a la fiesta y donde sabemos que logró bailar con el Príncipe y sí, nació el amor, pero llegaron las doce y salió corriendo perdiendo su zapatito de cristal, que al día siguiente llegó con el mismísimo Príncipe para descubrir quién era su enamorada
so Cinderella could finally go to the party where she danced with the Prince and yes, love was born, but she had to leave before midnight and she ran losing her glass slipper. The next day came the Prince himself to try it on all the women in the kingdom
No sólo vivieron felices sino que algunas versiones dicen que fue tan buena que casó a sus hermanastras con dos importantes señores de la corte
Not only they lived happily but some versions say she was so good that married her stepsisters with important gentlemen of the court

luckily girls don't need to dream marrying a prince for happiness anymore but it will always be very nice a story one where the protagonist can overcome a rough start and get over it and fulfill her dreams, don't you think so?
