Mi cajón de imprenta de Navidad..... My Christmas printer tray

Todavía me faltan algunas compras. Y también empezar a cocinar.
Pero, además de armar el arbolito y poner unos cuantos adornos más por toda la casa, me acordé del cajón de imprenta que armé hace unos meses y se me ocurrió armar uno navideño

I still have to do some shopping. And I haven't begun cooking yet.
But, after putting up the Christmas tree and decorating all my home, I remembered the printer tray I decorate some months ago and I thought it was a good idea to try a Christmas one

Así que me puse nuevamente a jugar y buscar adornos bien chiquitos pero esta vez navideños o al menos que siguieran con la onda rojo y verde

So I began playing again and looked for little things to put in it, but this time in red and green

Hay de todo un poco. Una luz de guirnalda antigua -como yo- de mi infancia, que les mostré ACÁ

There is a little bit of this and that. A vintage -like me- bulb light, from my childhood, that I have shared HERE

adornos de cuando mis hijas grandes eran nenas

some ornaments from my daughters when they were little girls

este dije mini calendario que me acaban de regalar

this little calendar charm I was given as a gift 

y por supuesto tenía que aparecer algo de recortar y pegar papelitos

and of course, some cut and glue paper

hasta alguna etiqueta de regalo recién recibido vino bien

even a shop tag

y no podía faltar la sidra

and we can't forget some cider

Yo como siempre tomaré sólo un sorbo para brindar -como los chicos- y volveré a mi bebida preferida

As always, I will only drink a sip to toast -as children- and then go back to my favorite drink

Llené un salero con forma de bota con confites verdes pero decidí "cortar" con un corazoncito blanco y me hizo acordar a la piedra negra en medio de la colección de piedras blancas de Diane Keaton en "Alguien tiene que ceder", se acuerdan? (qué linda casa...!)

I filled a boot shaped-salt shaker with green candies but I decided to add a white one, and it reminded me of the black stone in Diane Keaton's white rock collection in "Something's Gotta Give", remember? (such a wonderful house ...!)

Me divertí mucho armándola

I had a lot of fun decorating the tray

pero me llevó bastante tiempo

but it took me a lot of time

Así que creo que esta vez no la desarmo. La guardaré navideña nomás y cuando quiera armar otro tema tendré que conseguir otra...

So something is clear, this time I'll leave it just like this, when I want to decorate another one I'll get a new one...

Mi cajón de imprenta.... My printer tray

Hacía un tiempo que las veía en Internet. Con hilos de colores, con letras bordadas, con fotos... 

Y no me pude resistir. Yo también quería mi cajón de imprenta. Así que conseguí uno y empecé a recorrer mi casa buscando cosas chiquitas para poner

I have been watching them on the Internet. With colored threads, with embroidered monograms, with little photos.... 

And I could not resist. I wanted my printer tray too. So I purchased one and I started looking for little things around the house

En algunos de los pequeños estantes pegué papeles y recortes

I stuck little pieces of paper on the bottom of some boxes

Otros los dejé con la madera rústica así como lucía, como reflejo de tantos años de uso

I left others with its rustic wood

Parecía fácil pero los cubitos son muuuuy chiquitos

It seemed to be easier but the boxes are sooooo little

Igual, algunas cosas fui encontrando

But I could find some stuff

Muchos son recuerdos de mis hijos cuando eran chiquitos

Many of them are mementos of my kid's childhood 

Estas latitas son de púas de viejos fonógrafos, vi algunas colecciones muy divertidas de ellas. Pero no, no "debo" empezar más colecciones...

These are steel needles phonographes, I have seen some very nice collections of them. No, no, I should not start another collection...

Mi primer reloj cuando era una niña....cuántos recuerdos!

My first watch as a little girl...many memories!

Does anyone remember old Little Red Riding Hood stickers?

Fue divertido juntar tantos recuerdos. Claro, ahora el tema era dónde ponerlo

I had a lot of fun filling the tray. But now the question was, where can I display it?  

La verdad que en casa sólo yo estaba divertida con mi cajón. Algunos miraban un poquito de costado... Pero por suerte no se quejaron demasiado cuando lo colgué en una pared del hall de entrada.

The truth is I was the only one excited with my printer tray. But lucky me nobody complained when I hung it in the foyer

Alguna otra acumuladora juntadora de recuerdos por allí?
