Conservo sólo una muñeca de mi infancia. Pero era "mi muñeca" y la llamaba Pili

Pero un día se me ocurrió traerle una amiga

Sí, ya se, éste es el momento en que muchas piensan -o confirman- que estoy loca. No se preocupen, unos cuantos acá piensan lo mismo y hasta las miran con cara de asquito. Me llama la atención, sobre todo si algunas de ellas hace años recibían con caras de felicidad cada Barbie que llegaba a casa... :)

Como nosotras, distintos cutis, distintos colores de ojos...

Yes, I know, this is just the moment when many of you think -or confirmed- that I'm crazy. Do not worry, a few here agree with you and even look at them with a face of disgust. It surprises me... especially when some of them received each new Barbie with a happy face some years ago... :)

Locura puede ser, pero documentada, y qué mejor que Daniela Pelegrinelli que nos cuenta en su fantástico libro que estas muñecas Pielangeli se empezaron a fabricar en los '50 (nooo, yo nací después...) con un material innovador para ese momento que era el plastisol

Crazy, maybe, but documented, and Daniela Pelegrinelli tells us in her fantastic book that these dolls Pielangeli were first made in the 50's (nooo, I was born later ...) with an innovative material for the time: plastisol

Lecciones de Francés en una Valija.... French Lessons in a Suitcase

Los que ya me conocen saben que me encanta esto de pegar páginas de libros viejos

Those who frequently visit me already know that I love gluing old book pages everywhere

pero así como no puedo desarmar uno de los míos, cuando encuentro uno que fue olvidado por sus dueños siento que no sólo no hago mal sino que le estoy dando una vida mejor (una forma de convencerme? :))

but as I can not tear the pages of any of my books, when I find one that was discarded by their owners I feel that I am saving it and giving it a better life (a way to convince myself? :))

y que me ayuda esta vez a darle otra oportunidad también a esta valija vieja y rota

No se asusten, no la usaré para viajar, me viene fantástico para guardar cantidad de manteles y sábanas antiguos

Como siempre, plasticola con un toque de agua, y a pegar

Mientras, aprendía un poco de francés. Algunas palabras me resultaban más fáciles que otras. Las imágenes antiguas me gustaron todas

El material de la valija no es totalmente liso y creo que no queda mal que se note esa textura a través de las hojas

The material of the suitcase is not completely smooth but I like how that texture looks through the pages 

En las uniones de las dos tapas decidí pegar las hojas con la valija cerrada y recién cuando estuvo bien seca corté con un cuter

I glued the pages over the junctions after shutting the suitcase and when it was completely dry I cut it with a cutter

Como me pareció que la manija plateada no combinaba bien con el nuevo look pensé en cubrirla con tela que semeja una arpillera pero un poco menos rústica

I thought the silver handle didn't match well with the new look so I covered it with a fabric similar to burlap but a little less rustic

Hoy Compartimos: Jardín, Terraza, Ventana..... Garden, Terrace, Window

Este mes el Hoy Compartimos nos pide jardines, terrazas y ventanas.
Acá estamos en invierno (buhhhh) y, como todos los años, llega el frío y no me dan ningunas ganas de asomarme. Sólo miro al jardín a través de la ventana. Tampoco cuido mucho las plantas...

This month we have to share gardens, terraces and windows. 
We are in winter (buhhhh) and these cold days I only want to look at the garden through the window. I don't go outside, I don't dedicate time to take care of my plants ... 

Pero estoy pensando que voy a tener que cambiar un poco esta costumbre.
Una de mis hijas tiene ganas de empezar una pequeña huerta y la verdad que la idea me encantó. Así que si nos decidimos voy a tener que abrigarme y salir

But I'm thinking I'll have to change a bit this habit. 
One of my daughters wants to start a little orchard and I really love the idea. So if we begin working in it I'll have to wrap myself up and go outside

aunque el pasto no esté muy verde, las plantas no estén muy prolijas y no haya muchas flores...
Tal vez llevando algún abrigo...
