Caperucita Roja..... Little Red Riding Hood

El cuento de Caperucita Roja no necesita presentación, todos lo conocimos en nuestra infancia. Es un relato tradicional de autor anónimo y sus dos recopilaciones más conocidas son la de Charles Perrault y, posteriormente, la de los hermanos Grimm.
La que más aparece en la vajilla de chicos es esta Caperucita más conocida por nosotros, con su larga capa

Little Red Riding Hood story needs no presentation, we all remember it from our childhood. It's a traditional tale and there are two best known written versions, one told by Charles Perrault  and the other retold later by Brothers Grimm.
The girl who appears in most children's dishes is the one we are used to see, the one with a long riding hood

El platito que acompaña la taza trae otros dibujos también, como la casa donde vivía la abuela de Caperucita. Alcanzan a ver al lobo en la puerta?

The saucer has some more illustrations, here Little Red Riding Hood granny's house. Can you see the wolf at the door?

También tengo otra taza que tiene el mismo motivo

I have another teacup with the same image

Pero miren esta otra Caperucita, sin tanta capa sino sólo un gorrito (sería la versión de los Hermanos Grimm) y con pollera corta. Y vean que lleva una botella en la canasta, además de flores

But let's see this other Little Red Riding Hood. She is wearing a short skirt  and she has not a long riding hood, only a cap (Brothers Grimm version is Little Red Cap). She is carrying a bottle in her basket and a bunch of flowers

En este caso en el platito de la taza aparece el cazador

In this case, the saucer has an illustration of the hunter

y el lobo disfrazado de abuela

and the wolf dressed in Grandmother's clothes

Cada juego es un trío, la taza con su plato y el plato de postre

Each one is a trio, teacup, saucer and side plate

El primero es un juego inglés (Bristol) y el segundo es alemán (Waechtersbach). Qué Caperucita les gusta más?

The first one is an English set (Bristol) and the other is a German one (Waechtersbach). Which Little Red Riding Hood do you prefer?

El libro que aparece acompañando las tazas y platos es sobre la versión de Perrault, impreso en Argentina por Editorial Sigmar S.R.L. en 1947 con ilustraciones de Rodolfo Dan.

The storybook is a Perrault's version and was printed in Argentina in 1947 by Editorial Sigmar S.R.L. and Rodolfo Dan was its illustrator
